What is Green Lightning?
Green Lightning makes a nitrate-rich water from three things you already have on farm: air, water and electricity. No imported fertiliser, nothing trucked in. In this trial it went on once a week as a foliar spray, on top of a standard nutrition program.
The result: about 49% more fresh weight
Olds College Centre for Innovation ran a controlled-environment trial on vertical-grown lettuce - 640 plants per treatment. Standard nutrition on one set of walls; standard nutrition plus a weekly Green Lightning foliar on the other. Treated plants finished at 74g against 50g.
The lift held everywhere. Every Green Lightning treated wall out-yielded every control wall, across all four zones and from the top of each tower to the bottom. Consistent gain through the whole system, with large effect sizes at every position.

More nitrogen, more potassium, more plant
Leaf tissue testing confirms the mechanism. Green Lightning treated plants carried more nitrogen (5.0% vs 4.7%) and more potassium - the nutrients that drive leafy growth. The nitrogen we pull out of the air is getting into the plant and turning into biomass.

What is ~49% more biomass worth?
For leafy greens sold by weight, extra biomass flows almost straight to your top line. Here's an illustrative model for a mid-size Australian Controlled Environment Agriculture [CEA] operation. The input costs about three cents a litre in power and water, nothing to buy or truck in. The machine's the investment; the water's a few cents a litre. What it can add to your crop? That's the bit worth talking about.

Sell by the head instead? Then the gain shows up as speed — hitting harvest weight sooner. Run your cycles tight enough and that can free up room for more turns off the same footprint.
