Plasma Strike Trial Data

$2,400 spent on urea. Or $150 on air, water and electricity.

🐮 Elevate your pasture with Plasma Strike

Swapped for urea on a side-by-side paddock, Plasma Strike cut the annual nitrogen bill from $2,400 to $150 on a South West Victorian dairy. Two 5-hectare paddocks, same farm, same season, same six applications, same grazings. Only the nitrogen source changed.

Cost per hectare: $480 on urea. $30 on Plasma Strike. Saving: $450/ha, every year. Across the 100 hectares this farm is converting next, that's $45,000. And the pasture didn't give anything away for it. FeedTest put the Plasma Strike paddock at 30.2% crude protein against 26.6%, and 12.6 MJ/kg DM against 11.5.

💧 ~3c a litre. ~49% more fresh weight

In an independent Olds College controlled-environment trial, vertical-grown lettuce was run two ways — same light, same system, same standard nutrition program, with only a weekly Plasma Strike foliar added on one side.

Treated plants finished about 49% heavier, and it held right through: every treated wall out-yielded every control wall, across all four zones and top to bottom of each tower. Leaf tissue carried about 59% more nitrogen per plant — the nitrogen we pull out of the air, ending up in the leaf.

Same fungicide. Different carrier. Two programs, same direction.

 💧 $0.31/ha of carrier. +$56.38/ha net.

In a 2025 Precision Technology Institute corn trial, a standard fungicide pass was run two ways — same active, same rate, same sprayer — with only the carrier changed. Water in one treatment, Plasma Strike in the other. Plasma Strike is plasma activated water, made on-farm from air, water and electricity.

The Plasma Strike treatment recorded +220 kg/ha over the water carrier.

19 reasons to use Plasma Strike as your spray carrier in Potatoes

Screenshot 2026-05-28 163621

🥔 Same spray rig. Same program. More potatoes.

What happens to your tonnage when you swap the water in your tank? In a replicated Tasmanian processing-potato trial, Plasma Strike PAW used as the spray carrier delivered +2.34 T/ha extra yield and +$1,077/ha extra revenue — roughly a 35× return on the Plasma Strike spend — with no extra pass, no new product slot, and no withholding concerns.

Defect tonnage dropped (green and virus-affected tubers fell to zero), mid-size in-spec product more than doubled, and solids held steady.

The cheapest nitrogen application you'll ever make. 2 years in a row.

💸 $2.25/ha in. ~$58/ha back

Applied as a single 75 L/ha foliar spray pass at V6, Plasma Strike delivered a positive net return in both 2024 and 2025 independent Precision Technology Institute trials. Two consecutive seasons, two different corn hybrids.

Total treatment cost: A$2.25/ha. Average net return: +A$58/ha. That's better than 25:1 on a single pass.

What happens to farm economics when treatment costs 28 cents?

In a 2024 corn trial at the independent Precision Technology Institute in Illinois, Plasma Strike PAW applied to the seed before planting delivered a +320 kg/ha yield gain — at a treatment cost of A$0.28/ha.

Carrier Study: Water vs PAW

💧 Water vs PAW as your spray carrier? The difference is much bigger than you think.

Across multiple Beck’s Practical Farm Research sites, replacing plain water with Plasma Activated Water from Plasma Strike as the spray carrier consistently lifted yield and return on investment.

UAN & Plasma Strike Program Outperforms

Green Photographic Environment Charity Bio-Link Website

🌽Programs using UAN and Plasma Strike consistently outperformed single-source nitrogen on overall return.

The standout 50/50 program delivered higher dry matter yield while slashing fertiliser costs by up to $483/ha and returning +$3,291/ha higher net return vs standard UAN — plus significantly higher milk and beef output per hectare.

Application Timing Study: Soy Beans

🫘Plasma Strike was tested at four key application timings in soybeans.

Yield responses ranged from +54 to +141 kg/ha, with the R3 foliar application delivering the strongest result: +141 kg/ha and +$78/ha ROI.

R3 was the clear standout, delivering the highest yield and best ROI across all timings.
